Decorative Ice Cubes
Decorative ice cubes may look like small art pieces created by a "Picasso." The truth is that they are actually very easy and FUN to make. Make a big impression on your guest by creating decorative ice cubes that match the theme of your table and food. Call in your inner artist to decide on the food items you would like to freeze. Some of the choices are: fruit, vegetables, herbs and edible flowers. Some of the website links will ask you to cut the food items into smaller pieces, but you may leave them whole. Use your discretion; sometimes it looks cool when food items stick out of the ice cubes. If you would like certain items centered inside the ice cube, you may have to pour in the water in two parts. This allows the lower part to freeze and set the item centered before pouring the rest of the water. Using clean tweezers will help when doing this.
Below are some website links with great ideas on decorating ice cubes. They will walk you through on how you can make these beauties yourself. So Exciting!
